The irresistible little ghosts from September’s Holiday Harmony release are back again – lined up in a Halloween parade today. They’re joined by a bat from their Pumpkin Kisses Clear Stamp and Die Set. A floss-wrapped Round Eyelet Circle Frame and a Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle create colorful backgrounds.
Cut the 2.5″ Round Eyelet Circle Frame from black cardstock. Securely tape orange embroidery floss on the reverse side, then wrap the floss around the circle. Tape the floss securely on the backside, then trim the excess.
Cut a bright turquoise 6×6 from the Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack with the Round Eyelet Circle Frame too. Layer it behind the black circle for contrast.
It’s not a major discovery – but here’s a tip. If you’re undecided about which size to diecut, cut the larger size. If it looks good – great! If not, trim it with a smaller die, like I did here.
We’re using Nocturne Versa Fine ink and heat-embossing the ghosts, bat and greeting with detail clear powder. Stamp 5 ghosts and cut the cooled images with the coordinating die. Stamp the bat and greeting on Orange Peel cardstock. Trim the bat with a 1″ circle punch – or the 1″ die from the retired Circle Basics set if it’s in your stash.
Trim the greeting with one end of the 1.5″#” wide Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangles die – then trim it to about 2.5″ using an edge of a larger die from the set. Cut the turquoise 6×6 with the same die, then trim it to 3.25″.
Attach the diecuts to a black slimline card – 8-1/2″ x 3-3/8″ – use a narrow strip of foam tape down the center of each ghost. Punch five 1/4″ dots of the light bronze-ish Festive Glitter Pad 6×6. Attach 3 to the card front and 2 to the greeting inside. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing
