It's the perfect time of year for a snow globe… now if we could only get some real snow on the ground outside, we'd be all set! S U P P L I E S…
Today’s card was inspired by one of my fellow DT members, the amazing Pam Sparks! I love the Jolly Jingle Bells die but wasn’t doing it justice in my card attempts, and then I saw Pam’s card. Talk about a brilliant idea – I never would have thought of suspending them from the Whimsical Flourish die (obviously).
If you don’t have pearls in the right shade, color them with your Copics!

Make card base and adhere patterned paper; trim to fit.
Cut white panel of cardstock and die cut tree from its center; adhere to card.
Color stars with Krylon silver pen and coat with Stickles; set aside to dry.
Once dry, adhere stars to tree.
Adhere studs to tree.
One of the things I like best about the Advent Calendar dies are their versatility. You have the ornaments with the numbers removed from a solid background, the “cut-out” numbers, the solid ornaments and the outlined ornaments. I used the solid dies to cut out ornaments from patterned paper – the bear images are the perfect size for this. I could have made one “25” ornament, but I wanted two ornaments from the contrasting paper and thought I’d go with the “2” and the “5.”
So I decided to take the terrific advice I got from my blog readers and the readers here who commented on my original Christmas in the City card, and I like the new version very…
Today I paired an older die with a new one, and I think they should date more often! :~)
I love Downton Abbey for many reasons, but one of the biggest is the time period. I looooove the clothing of the Edwardian period, so that first season had me slobbering like a dog over a bone! So why not use these gorgeous dresses as card inspiration?
