Let it Snow
by Shelby Thomas

Welcome back to this afternoon’s post.  I hope everyone has been enjoying the fabulous new release dies and stamps and checking out the wonderful makes from the DT!!  I have a wintery themed card for you today.  On days like today when it’s 90+ degrees it’s hard to believe that snow and cold will arrive again.

The card base is 5.25 x 5.25 which shows off the wonderful Snowflake Ring.  I cut out the snowflake ring twice and snipped one of the rings so I could have the interlaced.  The background for this card was done with watercolors and some bubble wrap which created the dots you see.  The “snow” on the card was done with UTEE heated from the backside so all of the embossing powder didn’t fly all over my desk.  I used a  stipple brush and white acrylic paint to lightened up the edges of the panel.

And finally, I stamped the sentiment from the Snowglobe Wishes stamp set in blue stazon ink.

For a chance to win the Snowflake Ring, leave a comment to be entered into the random drawing.  Good luck to everyone and don’t forget to come back and visit tomorrow to see more more wonderful inspiration and another chance to win!!

  34. Those snow rings are a wonderful coupled with the three “let it snow”s from the song. I bet the rings would also look cool cut part and used as swirling snow in a foreground. Snowflakes, especially Dave’s, are just the best for the season. Those flakes almost make me love wintertime…quite a feat. Thank you.

  35. Beautiful, stunning background! Love those colors and it sets off the snowflake rings dies perfectly!
