Happy Friday everyone!
Today I have one last summer card for you before we really get into my favorite times of the year, autumn and winter.
I have so many summer birthdays, and I found myself needing on more card, and those cute fish stamps were calling my name!
To make this card I stamped, colored and die cut the fish. I used Faded Jeans and Broken China Distress Oxide inks to create the background layer for my card. While the inks were still wet, I wrinkled a piece of plastic and layed it over the inked paper and let it dry. Once it was dry I pulled the plastic wrap off and if left a nice texture on the background.
I trimmed the paper and glued it to a white cardstock layer. Next I stamped my sentiment with black ink, in the bottom right hand corner of the card. Using orange cardstock I die cut the rings and glued them on top of the background. I used foam tape to adhere the fish to the card.
I adhered the card front to a orange cardstock layer which I then glued to a white card base. I added some clear epoxy dots to finish off the card.

Love the background technique. Initially I thought it was tissue paper scrunched and glued before being painted. The fish are super cool, as well; or should I be saying UBER cool, to show how trendy I am? 🙂
