Welcome to the second day of our Blog Blitz! Members of the Design Team will be showcasing a wide variety of the new stamps and dies this week–just in time for Valentine’s Day and with the hope for an early spring. Those of you who have been in the deep freeze for days on end will really appreciate the lovely spring images and the opportunity to think spring! You can see the entire release here.
I have two similar valentines to show you today.
ONE:

The four dies I used on this card are
- HAVE A HEART set of five dies 30118
- HONEYCOMB STITCHED CIRCLE FRAME 99923
- INTRICATE BEE 99920
- SENTIMENTAL BE MINE 99927

- I chose a light pink notecard as my base.
- I die cut the 3.4X3.7 heart from a deep red cardstock and adhered it to the card.
- I cut the Honeycomb Stitched Circle Frame from some sticky-backed gold glitter paper and added it to the heart. I saved some of the punched-out honey cells to add later to the card front for more sparkle.
- I die cut Be Mine twice from the same gold glitter paper. I added an “e” from the second set to spell out “bee” for “bee mine”. And I love the little heart that makes the dot for the “i”! I added those to the card.
- I die cut the bee from black cardstock and glued the body onto more of the gold glitter paper which I had already adhered to a scrap of black cardstock. I then used detail scissors to trim around the wings and tail section, carefully lifting up the four legs to cut as close to the body as I could. I used foam dots to pop the bee on top the card.
TWO:

- This time I used a top-folded notecard in another shade of pink and a silvery-gold glitter paper.
- I added “bee mine” along the left side of the heart and then placed the honeycomb on the right side, trimming off the piece that extended beyond the heart.
- I then adhered the finished heart to the notecard using double-sided tape.
- I made the bee the same way as before and popped it on, lining it up with the heart’s edge.
- Again I added a few of the honey cells for more sparkle.

Want a chance to win the INTRICATE BEE? Leave a comment on this post by Sunday, January 14 by 11:59 PM EST. One winner will be chosen at random from these posts to win the bee! Be sure to stop by each day through Friday as the Design Team members share their ideas for using the newest Memory Box products. A prize will be offered each day to a lucky commenter. Will that be you? Winners will be posted on the blog on Monday afternoon the 15th. I can’t wait to read your comments!

The Bee die is so amazing. I have so many ideas for cards using it.
No words to describe the creativity it took to make this card. Hats off to you for using the BEE! The world is in trouble due to a shortage of Bees. Without them humans would literally starve. They are responsible for most of our vegetables, fruits and flowers and without them we would be in dire straits for sure. So we should dedicate a Valentine to them and love them for what they do for us. Just think, where would we be without “the birds and the bees” (just had to say it). . . . . . .
Pretty card! Love the new bee dies.
Ann your cards are stunning and I so hope I find a UK stockist that has these dies. I love the itty bitty bees Dave created for Poppystamp and seem to have a soft spot for bees in general, I love seeing all the different ones that find their way to my garden in summer so yes I love these the bee , ant the circle honeycomb too and love the pun you created too who could say no. Thanks for sharing.
Anything with gold and red is bound to be beautiful but your card is especially darling. The bee would be great all year but really fits the Valentine theme!

I love that bee! Too often, bees look cartoonish and unrealistic. This bee would be perfect for my nephew, whose nickname is Bee.
What a cute, cute card! That oversized bee is sweet!
What an awesome card! The glitter paper really makes it’s pop. I can hear the fight of the bumble bee now. Love this!!! Thank you for the inspiration! 🙂 🙂 🙂
