Hugs Card
by Donna Sledzik

Hello everyone, today I have a fun resist technique to create backgrounds for your cards. I started with a piece of watercolor cardstock, and filled the background with my stamped images. Next I white heat embossed the images.

The embossing powder acts as a resist to the watercolor paint I added to the background.  I did dry my paper in between adding more watercolor to build up a deeper color. I added white paint spatters to the background.

Next I die cut the Hugs Loving Heart from white cardstock and glued it to a piece of vellum. I trimmed around the outside of the heart and glued it to the card front.

I stamped and white embossed the sentiment on a strip of black cardstock and glued that to the card. To finish the card I glued a few embellishments to the card.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great week!
