Favorite holiday flavors – minty, sweet and spicy – decorate a snow-topped gingerbread house. Add shaded Kraft Woodgrain trim and shuttters – and glitter, of course! Hi – Jean Okimoto here on the busy weekend-before-Christmas – but there’s still time for holiday traditions.
Cut Gingerbread House Frame from Kraft Woodgrain Paper. Cut the shutters and trim pieces for the door and window too. Sponge or brush the frame, shutters and trim with Pearlescent Chocolate Brilliance. It’s easier to ink the cardstock before cutting these pieces – but inking after cutting adds more definition along the diecut edges.
Cut the roof and window snow from the whitest Delicate Pastel Glitter Pad sheet. Cut 2 fences and a gate from the House Frame set too. Cut the Mistletoe Bundle bow too.
Create the glossy paneled door – first, attach packing tape or a clear laminate strip to a piece of the pink sheet from the Berry Red Collection. Pressure-emboss the door using the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your diecut machine. Attach the door behind the opening. Attach the surrounding trim.
Add a glassy look to the windows – attach packing tape or laminate to a piece of the light yellow sheet from the Sunny Orange Collection and diecut the 4 panes. Place a wide piece of tape behind the window opening and attach the crossbars – officially called muntins*. (*A funny word, I promise I didn’t make it up!) Add the panes. Attach the surrounding trim. Attach the shutters with foamtape.
Cut the candycanes and round mints from white cardstock and the red Festive Glitter Pad sheet. Cut the spearmint gumdrops from the green Glitzy Glitter Pad sheet.
Assemble the fence and trim the ends. Attach the diecuts to a pink A-6 card (4-½” x 6-¼”) – curve the fence for a natural, wonky look.
