Trio of Ornaments
by Jean Okimoto

The swirly details of the new Gilded Scroll Ornament highlight a trio of holiday ornaments. Add a pair of starburst print diecuts from the Brilliant Fuchsia 6×6 pack for a festive celebration in pink and gold. It’s a simple design – and a great way to use those beautiful papers in your stash!

Cut the swirly scroll from matte gold cardstock. Attach ScorTape behind matte gold cardstock and cut 3 self-adhesive “hangers.”

Cut the solid ornament from bright pink metallic cardstock. Spritz it with a light mist of water and pressure-emboss it with the scroll die, rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine. Embossing adds depth and texture – and makes it very easy to attach the gold scroll diecut – just add glue and set it into the debossed pattern. Punch 1/4″ circles of matte gold cardstock.

Cut two of the starburst print from the Brilliant Fuchsia 6×6.

Cut white cardstock with the 2nd-largest Wrapped Stitched Slim Rectangle die. Trim both short ends with the short edge of the largest rectangle die to create a 3″ x 5.5″ stitched rectangle.

Cover white cardstock with ScorTape and cut the solid background of the new Warm Wishes Timeless Script. Cut the detailed top layer from matte gold cardstock and leave it in the die. Remove the tiny piece inside the “a.” Press the words (still in the die) firmly onto the adhesive-covered background. Remove the die, cover the remaining exposed adhesive with detail clear embossing powder and tap off the excess. Carefully heat-emboss it – the words will be attached and aligned!

Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4.5″ x 6.25″). Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Here are the Memory Box products featured on today’s card – 95005 Gilded Scroll Ornament, 95003 Warm Wishes Timeless Script, PP1030 Brilliant Fuchsia 6×6 prints, and 94554 Wrapper Stitched Slim Rectangles.
