Pinpoint Floral Slimline by Jean Okimoto

Hi – Jean Okimoto here with some March Challenge inspiration on a floral slimline design. The new Winsome Rose and Leaves Contour Layers set from Birch Press Design makes it easy to build detailed, dimensional blossoms with the Berry Red 6×6 Collection.

Creating intricate layered flowers is simple with our 6×6 paper collections and the latest release. It’s like paint-by-number – with colorful cardstock instead of a paintbrush!

Cut white cardstock with Hex Half Pinpoint. Cut it with a portion of the Pinpoint Leaf Plate.

Cut Verdant Arch from a light green 6×6 in the Lush Green Collection. Cut the solid leaf backgrounds in the Winsome Rose and Leaves Contour Layers set from the same green 6×6. Cut the detailed leaf overlays and the flower center from a darker green 6×6. Assemble the layered leaves.

The pinpoint background matches the Verdant Arch – and the Half Hex creates a solid backdrop for the bold flower to stand out.

Cut the Winsome Rose from 3 shades of Berry Red 6×6 cardstock. Assembling the rose is easy – the 2 bottom layers have lightly scored guidelines showing exactly where the layering pieces should be attached. Assemble the rose and add the green center.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-½” x 8-½”).

Stamp the greeting – from the Signature Greeting Clear Stamp and Die Set – on white cardstock with Shady Lane VeraFine Clair. Dry the ink, then cut the greeting with the coordinating die. Cut green cardstock with the greeting die and attach it – offset to the right – for dimension.

Add pink/coral Autumn Fairy Crystals. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
