Sweet Snowflake Collage Cookie by Jean Okimoto

Create the look of a frosted gingerbread cookie with new dies from the Christmas 2022 Collection.  It could be a cinnamon spice cookie too.

The Gioriette Snowflake Collage is a great 2-piece die set that’s also perfect for pressure-embossing and stencil-cutting.  It diecuts a great gift tag – or Christmas tree ornament too.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a holiday slimline idea from our latest release.

Cut the solid Gloriette Snowflake Collage background from dark kraft cardstock.  Cut the detailed snowflake from the white 6×6 in the Majestic Hues Glitter Pad – save the 5 skinny, pointy center pieces too.  Cut an extra piece from a scrap of the white glittered 6×6 – for a total of 6.

Attach the glittered diecuts to the kraft background.

Cut the 2 smaller Starburst Snowflake Discs – we’re using the center snowflake offcuts  here.  The outer disks will be great for another project.

Cut the bright violet 6×6 – from the Vibrant Violet 6×6 Collection – with the 2-¾” Square Basics die.  Cut a 1″ strip of the lavender 6×6 with the 2″ Square Basics die.

Stamp the greeting – from the new Sweet Christmas Clear Stamps Set – on the lavender 6×6 with Brilliance Lightning Black.  Dry the ink, then diecut it with the 1-½” Square Basics die.

Attach everything to a white slimline card.

Try this basic design with other colors too – red+green, teal+copper, fuchsia+lime, silver+gold, pink+orange.  Or make it a dark chocolate cookie with pale pink glittered “icing.”

Thanks for visiting – see you again next week!
