Add a face and glitzy, glittery hat to the new Autumn Pumpkin for another design from our great Fall ’23 Collection. An upcycled offcut from the new Fanciful Gilded Frame creates a swirly border to match the new Large Layered Witch Hat. Hi, Jean here with another Halloween idea for you.
Cut Autumn Pumpkin from orange cardstock. Punch holes for the eyes and nose using a screw punch or rotating leather punch. Attach a scrap of black cardstock behind the pumpkin.
Cut the tendril and leaf from the chartreuse Rainbow Reflections 6×6. Save the extra leaves for another project.
Cut Large Layered Witch Hat from black cardstock and the black Glitzy Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut the band from the purple Rainbow Reflections 6×6. Assemble the hat.
Prep the new Fanciful Gilded Frame by rubbing it briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the curly, swirly offcuts. Cut it from black cardstock. We’re using just the large center offcut here. The black frame diecut will create a dramatic background over a bright orange card for a future Halloween design!
Attach the diecuts to a top-folded textured gray A2 card – use foam tape for the brim and center of the hat. Add the coppery Autumn Fairy Crystals. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Autumn Pumpkin is great for Thanksgiving cards and fall birthdays too. There are so many ways to use the Fanciful Gilded Frame – the heart-shaped offcuts at the top and bottom centers will be great for wedding and Valentine designs. Just planning ahead…way ahead.
