Airbrushed Butterflies
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends. I have been on an airbrush kick lately in cardmaking. I find that if I have a tool out on my desk, I might as well make several projects with it. Once again, you could use inks and sponges instead of an airbrush.

To make the card, I first created a textured background with white cardstock and the chrysanthemum embossing folder. I thought because the card design is simple, it would look too stark without the textured background

For the butterflies, I cut everything out of white cardstock and then airbrushed the pieces with rainbow colors of Copic markers. I added a bit of a transition between the butterflies by using two colors for each butterfly. I had a red/orange one followed by an orange/yellow, yellow/green, green/blue and blue/purple.

Here is a close up:

To finish the card, I added my sentiment and the brown bodies to the butterflies.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!
