Brilliant Beetles Surround the Dainty Fuchsia Stem
by Anne Thompson

I said last week that I would show you a butterfly card this week.  I did make that but I also made this really cute card featuring the Brilliant Beetles and the Dainty Fuchsia Stem which I decided to share instead.  (Butterflies next week!)

materials used

Making these beetles was so much fun that I made lots of them!  I used a variety of pink and green plaid papers from Fuchsia Plaid and cut all of the beetles multiple times.  I also cut a bunch of them from black card stock and then adhered the plaid heads/antennae and bodies on.  I chose one of each style for this card.

I die cut the Dainty Fuchsia Stem from more of the plaid papers–green plaid for the leaves and pinks for the bud and blossom.

I covered the front of a top-fold A2 white note card with a dark printed paper from the Brilliant Fuchsia paper pad.  I added a white panel cut 4 X 5 1/4 from Memory Box White Woodgrain card stock.  I glued on the leafy branch using a glue pen and then added the bud and fuchsia blossom.  Lastly I adhered the three beetles.

I've left enough white space to add an appropriate sentiment, probably one of the Foil Greetings Tabs.  Would be a cute "heard you caught a bug" card or "Goin' buggy?" card, too.

Hope you are having fun with the newest Fuchsia Collection items!

Happy Crafting!
