Hello everyone. I’m delighted to share a Christmas (in August 😀) card today featuring products from the 2024 Yuletide collection released last month.
Started by dry embossing mixed media paper with the Pinecone and Berries 3D embossing folder as the background. Next, the pine needles were die cut from the darkest Greenery paper using the Pinecone Duo dies. To give them a more textured and realistic look, the individual needles were cut in half from the tips with scissors. See comparison photo below (original is on the left 😉).

That step would have been easier if I had small detailed scissors. 🤷🏻♀️ The berries were then die cut from alcohol marker friendly paper and colored with Copic Sketch markers RV63/66/17).

The sparrow was die cut from white and ink blended with leftover brown, orange and yellow inks left on their respective detail blending brushes. Heat embossed the sentiment with gold embossing powder then die cut out with the coordinating die. Assembled the card onto a white card base to finish.

And that does it for my card. Thank you for joining me today. Have a wonderful day.

Stunning wreath, Trina – thanks for showing the customization with the pine needles – great look!! And I love your wreath atop that crisp white embossing!!
Fab card, Trina. Especially like the clever trick of cutting the pine needles. I think that embossing folder will be on my wish list. It creates such a beautiful background. tfs
I love how you made the pine needles more delicate by cutting into them. It makes for a gorgeous wreath on the embossed background!
Gorgeous card Trina, that little bird is so sweet ♥
