Ready for a big birthday celebration? Create a tall birthday blossom with stitched details and a Happy Birthday Foil Greeting Circle Tab. I just wrapped the thread around the Round Eyelet Circle Frame on a previous post – we’re actually stitching with a real needle here! Add Gifts Galore – the little boxes and bows emphasize the dimensions of the bold pink blossom.

Prep the 3-1/4″ and 1-3/4″ Round Eyelet Circle Frames by rubbing them briskly with scrunched waxed paper to help release the tiny offcuts. Cut the frames from pale pink cardstock. Tape pink embroidery floss or crochet thread securely on the reverse side of the large frame. Stitch back and forth across the large frame – criss-cross the frame for even spacing – instead of stitching through the adjacent ovals, which would create big and little spaces.
Cut two slightly smaller Circle Basics circles from darker pink cardstock. Attach them behind the frames for contrast and dimension. Layer the circles and add a Happy Birthday Foil Greeting Black Circle Tab.
Cut a narrow 6″ long stem from Glossy Black Paper (cardstock). Cut the tulip leaves – from the Flower Basket Bouquet die set – from the glossy cardstock too.
Cut the Gifts Galore boxes from the gold/white diagonal stripe and confetti print from the Poppystamps Birthday Fun 6×6. Cut the bows from the darker pink cardstock and the pale aqua Lagoon Solid Core Cardstock Pack 6×6.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card – 3-5/8″ x 8-1/2″. Add 1/4″ punched circles of the gold Rainbow Reflections Mirror Pad 6×6. Cut a slimline-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Slimline cards are great backgrounds for large, bold design elements. They’re also a nice surprise for the recipient who was probably expecting business mail (or junkmail!) in the long, slim envelope.
Thanks for visiting our blog, keep warm, stay safe and have a great weekend…or just stay indoors and make cards!
