Celebrate a special occasion with the Mouse Prince!
by Anne Thompson

It’s time to celebrate with the Mouse Prince! Whether it’s a birthday, some other special day, or just because it’s Monday and you made it through last week! The Mouse Prince with his balloon is ready to party!

These are the materials I used: MOUSE PRINCE 94896; WAVY BALLOONS 94952; ANEMONE PLAID 6X6 PAPER PAD PP1025; BIRTHDAY GREETINGS CLEAR STAMP SET CL5292; and FAIRY JEWELS.

To make this card, I started with a top fold A2 note card and added a piece of Anemone Plaid cut 4 X 5 1/4. Next I used watercolor paper to die cut the Mouse Prince and the small solid balloon in the Wavy Balloons die set. I painted the pieces with watercolor paints. I took another piece of watercolor paper, drew some lines with a black pen to make a border and trimmed that piece. I stamped “time to celebrate” with VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink, spattered it with light blue paint, and set that panel aside to dry. Once all the pieces were dry, I assembled the mouse and placed him above the greeting on the spattered panel. I used Scor-Tape to attach the panel to the note card. I glued the crown on the mouse’s head. I tied a blue waxed thread to the balloon and adhered the balloon to the card with a dimensional foam dot, tucking the string under the mouse’s arm. To finish the card I added tiny black Fairy Jewels to the mouse for his eye and nose.

This month’s blog challenge is to use ribbons and threads on your cards. We’d love to see what you create! Check out that blog post from April 1st.
