Here’s the new Gift Penguin – from July’s Christmas Charm release – multi-tasking on a birthday card for a summer celebration. Pressure emboss the versatile Happy Birthday Background Plate for a detailed background behind a new Fan Stitch Scalloped Arch Frame.
Spritz a top-folded pink A2 card with a light mist of water and pressure-emboss the front with the Happy Birthday Background Plate – use the rubber embossing mat and plate(s) required for your machine.
Cut Gift Penguin from watercolor paper and Black Glossy Paper (cardstock). Cut the feet and face “under-layer” from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Color the eye areas with a black marker.
Cut the gift from the pink/violet/green Fuchsia Plaid 6×6. Cut the hat – from the Birthday Party Hats set – from the plaid too. Cut 2 of the hat toppers from matte gold cardstock. Cut the ribbon and bow from matte gold cardstock.
Cut the 2.5″ wide Fan Stitch Scalloped Arch Frame from pink cardstock. Attach the diecuts to the card – use a foam dot at the top of the hat. Add 1/4″ dots punched from the pink Delicate Pastels Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
