Thankful for Fall

Fall is one of my two favorite seasons.  So I thought I'd share two leaf cards with you today.  Sometimes it seems that we just jump from Halloween to Christmas.  These are cards that could be used for Thanksgiving or just general occasions.  Hope these are ideas you can use.  

Here's the first card:

• Die cut bottom of Parchment rectangle with Piestra die
• Swipe colors of Distress ink on nonstick craft mat
• Pick up colors onto Small Scalloped Circle stamp by swiping stamp through inks on craft mat
• Stamp Maple leaf in Cocoa Brown on scalloped circle
• Die cut maple leaf
• Sponge edges of leaf with Spiced Marmalade
• Attach Mango dotted piece to Kraft note card
• Tie twine around rectangle
• Pop dot parchment rectangle piece onto notecard

Dies:  98201 Maple Leaf, 98157 Piestra Tile

Stamps:  E1794 Maple Leaf, E1789 Small Scalloped Circle

Paper:  Mango Distressed Dots, Parchment; Kraft Note card and envelope

Other:  Inks:  Memento Cocoa Brown, Reinkers:  Distress – Barn Red, Rusty Hinge, Peeled paint, Spiced Marmalade, twine

Here's the second (Wish you could see how glittery this is in real life):

• Die cut oak leaf from watercolor paper
• Sponge on desired colors of Distress ink (This is easier to do on a nonstick craft mat)
• Make a glue pad by squirting ScrapHappy Sheer Glue onto a piece of cardstock
• Have a tray of soapy water ready to clean the stamp immediately after stamping
• Using a foam brush, paint glue onto oak leaf stamp
• Place a piece of poster tape on craft mat to hold die cut leaf in place
• Using a stamp positioner, stamp oak leaf on top of leaf die cut
• Clean stamp
• Sprinkle Bronze glitter on top of oak leaf
• Stamp oak leaf twice on Kraft note card
• Corner round edges
• Attach oak leaf with pop dots

Ancient Page Chocolate ink; Glitter Ritz Bronze; desired colors Distress Ink
