1 Stencil + 1 Die + 1 Stamp = a set of similar yet different cards

For today's post I chose one stencil, one die, and one stamp and challenged myself to make a set of thank you notes for a friend.

Materials Used:

  • white notecards and envelopes
  • Stencil:  Leafy Stems No. 88545
  • Die:  Script Thanks No. 98240
  • Stamp:  Flower Shadow A1742
  • inks:  Hero Arts Cornflower Blue, Green Hills; Archival Deep Purple
  • sticky-back blue cardstock (for use with the "thanks" die)

The fun thing here was to use the stencil in various positions on the card front, even flipping it over for a different look.  Don't be afraid to move your stencils around!  You can always mask off the area where you don't want any extra ink by using post-it notes or scrap paper.

You can see the envelopes peeking out from under these cards.  I stamped a single flower on each one in either the upper lefthand corner or to the left of where the recipient's address will be written.

I rarely make the same card twice even when using the same materials in basically the same way!  Because I've used the same stencil, die, and stamp, it really is a coordinated set without being matchy-matchy.

I'm still repeatedly scrolling back through the last two weeks of posts to get more ideas for using my stencils.  I hope you've been able to try out some of the projects shown or used the posts for inspiration and put your own spin on things.

Happy crafting!
