Seaweed Collage and a Buddy of the Neighborly Narwhal

The Neighborly Narwhal – without his tusk – becomes a friendly whale relaxing in the center of the Seawood Collage.  Add some Swirling Stitches and a few gemstones just for fun.  Hi – Jean Okimoto here – with a quick card designed to brighten someone’s day.

I didn’t even know what a Narwhal was until the April Release – I thought it was a Memory Box exclusive.  Several of my friends at Impress – highly intelligent people – were also surprised that narwhals really do exist in nature.  The real ones aren’t nearly as cute as Memory Box’s, they don’t multi-task as whales either.  Ours is quite special!

Paint watercolor paper with pale layers of aqua and green Peerless Watercolors.  Cut them with a Stitched Oval Layer.  Cut the green oval with Seawood Collage – it’s a close fit, but I know you can do it.

Cut Neighborly Narwhal from black and dark gray cardstock.  Attach the black piece behind the gray for dimension and a sliver of a shadow.  Cut the lower section from white cardstock.  Tape a scrap of black cardstock behind his eye.  Attach him to the background.

Diecut a folded Pool Notecard with the Swirling Stitches – the swirls also appear inside the card for added texture.  

Attach everything to a Pool Notecard and add turquoise gem stickers.  Stamp your favorite Memory Box greeting, sign your name and send it off in a matching Pool Envelope.  It’s sure to elicit a smile!
