Just Treats – No Tricks – with Holiday 2019 Collection Clear Stamps by Jean Okimoto

Foliage stamps from the 2019 Holiday Collection create great backgrounds for Halloween diecuts – and treat wrappers for little tricksters.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here – we can’t let Halloween slip by without a few quick candy wrappers for the kids.  These are great for the snack-size versions of your favorite candies.

Score and crease an  8-½” x 11″ sheet of black cardstock lengthwise at 4-⅛” and 4-⅜”.  Cut it into 3″ wide strips.

Cut orange printer paper or cardstock with the 2 x 3-¼” and 2-¾” x 4″ Wrapped Stitch Rectangles dies – cut three of each size.

Stamp the rectangles with VersaFine Onyx Black and the greenery from the Graceful Fern, Tidings Wreath and Grateful Autumn Clear Stamp Sets.

Diecut Swirling Ghosts and Friendly Ghosts from watercolor paper.  Attach scraps of black cardstock behind their eyes.

Diecut Cool Cat and Crouching Cat from black cardstock.  Attach scraps of green cardstock behind their eyes.

Cut the letters for “EEK,” “BOO” and “TREATS” from white cardstock with the Mini Vintage Varsity Alphabet set.

Assemble the wrappers.  Punch a hole at the top.  Attach the candy with doublestick tape or glue dots.  Tie the wrapper with green tulle.  Fold the ends of the tulle and trim it at a very sharp angle to create a zig-zagged edge.

Have fun making these little wrappers for the kids – make some for co-workers, teammates, and carpoolers too.  They’re easy, fun and sure to make someone smile!

Thanks for visiting – have a great weekend!

  1. Boo! I was just going upstairs to make some candy tags and I saw your post. Thank you for the inspiration and I am going to make some of these right now for the special neighborhood kids who come to our house, all nine of them! Happy Halloween, Jean!
