Copic Peony
by Laura Fulcher

Greetings friends.  Do you have a favorite flower?  For me, it is the peony.  I think they are absolutely stunning.  Therefore, I was really excited to see the new Memory Box stamp sets.  I don’t know if I have ever seen a peony in the orange color I used, but I decided to color my flower to match the washi tape.

To make the card, I used both the wide and 1″ version of the Cornelia Aqua washi tape. I took a piece of white cardstock and then placed a strip of the wide and a strip of the narrow onto the paper at an angle.  I then cut the piece down to layer onto a blue card.  I also cut out my “celebrate” in the same color of blue.

For my flower, I used the following Copic colors:

My favorite paper to use with Copic markers is the XPress It Blending Cardstock.  It is a bit slicker than other cardstocks, and I find it easier than others to blend the markers.  I stamped the flower and leaves with black Memento ink and die cut out all of my pieces.  I started with the lightest color of ink and then added each of the darker colors.  Here is a close up of the coloring:

Thank you so much for stopping by today!
