Just a Little Note by Jean Okimoto

Succulents – framed in Stylish Rectangles – add a natural, organic touch to friendship cards.  Hi, Jean Okimoto here with a simple stamped and colored design from the Summer Daydreams collection.

Stamp the succulents – from the Elegant Succulent Sentiments Clear Stamp and Die Set – on smooth white cardstock with Olive Grove Memento Luxe.  Emboss them with detail clear powder.  Cut them with the matching dies.  Sponge or brush them with yellow, turquoise and green inks.  Distress Oxiodes squeezed lemonade, mowed lawn, peacock feathers and lucky clover were used here.  Cut the suculents with the matching dies.

Stamp and emboss the greeting – from the stamp and die set – on the yellow-green 6×6 in the Lush Green Collection.

Color Clear Jewels with a blue-green Sharpie or Copic Marker.

Cut two of the Stylish Rectangles.

Attach the inked diecuts to a slimline card (8-½” x 3-½”) – use foamdots for the 2 outer succulents.  Add the inked jewels.

Friendship cards mean more than ever now.  Say hello or send caring thoughts on simple cards in upbeat colors – or the recipient’s favorite colors.

Thanks for visiting…see you on Thursday!

  1. Those beautiful colors! Thank you for the clever idea about coloring the jewels with Sharpies or Copic Markers! The clear gems make it possible for us to have just the right color for a card. And you are right about friendship cards, Jean!
