A Flower a Day… by Jean Okimoto

Hi everyone, Jean Okimoto here to start your day with a big bloomer from our latest release.  It’s the new Riverbank Large Layered Blooms set, cut from the pearly, shimmery Vintage Pastel Mirror Pack. Add the delicate details of the new Tall Frilly Leaf Stems for contrast – and a greeting from the Friends and Family Clear Stamp Set

Cut white cardstock with the 7-¼” x 2-¼” Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut the rectangle with the Slim Pinpoint Burst Plate.

Cut the Riverbank Large Layered Blooms from the pearly peach Vintage Pastel 6×6 sheet.  Cut the center from the pale peach Vintage Pastel sheet.  Assemble the blossom – with the largest blossom on the top, then the medium, ending with the smallest layer on the bottom.  Add the center.

Cut the Tall Frilly Leaf Stems from a 6×6 sheet in the Lush Green Collection.

Stamp the greeting – from the new Friends and Family Clear Stamp Set – on white cardstock with Pearlescent Thyme Brilliance.

Attach the diecuts and greeting to a white slimline card (3-½” x 8-½”).

Add ¼” punched dots of the (slightly) darker green 6×6 sheet in the Twinkling Jewel Glitter Pad.

There’s still time to enter February’s Pretty in Pink Challenge.  If you’ve never entered our monthly challenge, it’s the perfect time to start…there are so many beautiful floral dies and luscious pink 6×6 solids, glitter cardstock and new mirror cardstock shades to chose from.  Mixing, matching and layering these great design elements will be a breeze!  View the Challenge details here – the entry deadline is 11:59 pm EST on Sunday February 27.

Thanks for visiting, see you again on Friday!

  1. Your slimline cards are the best! I really like the different colors used in the Riverbank flower and of course the great background accents. Thank you Jean!
