Slimline Garden Greetings by Jean Okimoto

Looking forward to spring?  Here’s a garden design from our latest release – and a friendly Grand Whittle Snail from Poppystamps. Hi, happy weekend – Jean Okimoto here with a slimline design in fresh pastels to match a plaid snail.

First, the papers – including the shimmery new Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad of 6×6’s in 12 soft, pearly metallics.  Cut Hex Half Pinpoint from the yellow-green sheet in the Lush Green Collection.  Cut Verdant Arch and tape it in the hex half for an inlaid background.

Cut the Poppystamps Grand Whittle Snail from the pink and green Madras Plaid sheet – and from the pale peach Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad sheet.  Eyes are optional –  I added eyes with a screwpunch and a scrap of black paper.

Cut Layered Periwinkle and Layered Impatiens from the pink and orange sheets in the Berry Red and Sunny Orange Collections. Assemble the flowers.

Attach the diecuts to a green slimline card (3-½” x 8-½”) – use foamtape for the antennae and center sections of the snail’s body.  Add pink and orange Pastel Fairy Jewels.  Cut a slimline-sized sheet of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Hope you’ll have a chance to make some cards this weekend.  Thanks for visiting – see you next week!

  1. Un escargot! It’s really cute on a card but I sure don’t want to see them in my garden! Thank you for this whimsical spring card, Jean. If there’s a snail die there must be a husky dog die on the way …merci!
