Combine new designs from our latest release with the April Challenge – Sky’s the Limit – and a bit of Poppystamps Whittle Sunshine. Hi, Jean here with a double-collage all-occasion design in soft spring pastels. It could be a friendship card, send a note of encouragement, celebrate a special moment or welcome a new baby.

Cut, score and fold a 5.5″ square white card. Diecut Cloudy Moon Collage from the card front. Cut Distant Sun Collage from the inside. Back it with a 5.5″ square of pale blue cardstock.
Diecut the Poppystamps Whittle Sunshine from pale yellow cardstock.
Diecut Curved Magnolia Branch from minty green cardstock. Trim and save the leaf that would be hidden by Backyard Wren – it’ll be repositioned later.
Diecut Magnolia Bud Trio from pale lavender cardstock and assemble the blossom and bud. The small triple-pointed sepal will be a tiny bud.
Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to blue wool-blend felt to stabilize it and prevent adhesives from saturating it. Cut Backyard Wren’s main section. Cut it again from white cardstock – it’ll be layered behind the assembled bird later. Cut the wings from the shimmery turquoise Vintage Pastel Mirror Pad 6×6.
Cut the beak section from yellow cardstock and use a black marker to fill the area that will become the eye.
Assemble Backyard Wren and attach the plain white diecut behind it for a neater back-view when the card is opened.

Attach the diecuts to the card – add the saved leaf near the center of the curved branch. Use a foam dot behind the tip of the large wing.
Add turquoise Christmas Fairy Dewdrops. Cut a 5.5″ square of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing. Square cards require extra postage and special handling.
Thanks for visiting…have a great weekend!

Love your wooly wren! Great idea to cut him out of felt and the placement of the wings.
