From Bud to Blossom by Jean Okimoto

Magnolia Rub-On Transfers eliminate both coloring and diecutting the layers to create instant cards.  Just add a Magnolia Plaid accent strip, gemstones and a greeting.  Hi, Jean here with a simple floral design from our latest collection.

Leave a generous margin around each design and cut the buds and blossoms from the Magnolia Rub-On Transfer Sheet – cut through both the transfer and its paper liner.  Carefully remove the paper liner and tap the transfers onto smooth white cardstock – leave space between the transfers to diecut the circles later.

The transfer set includes 2 sheets of transfers and a craft stick to burnish the design.  It’s also easy to burnish the design onto cardstock by running it through a diecut machine (between two sheets of printer paper) using the cutting plates.  Carefully remove the frosty layer.  Cut the designs with the 1-¼”, 1-½” and 1-¾” Circle Basics dies.

Cut pale lavender cardstock with the 6-¼” Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Cut a Magnolia Plaid 6×6 sheet with the same die – cut it vertically and include the top of the paper pad.

Stamp the greeting – from the Springtime Typewriter Sentiments Clear Stamp Set – with Purple Delight VersaFine Clair.  Dry the ink and cut the greeting with the second-smallest Slim Basic Rectangle Layers die.  Trim the short end.

Attach the diecuts to a white slimline card (3-⅝”  x 8-½”).  Add lavender Winter Fantasy Fairy Gemstones.  It’s easy to pick the perfect matching color of the iridescent gemstones – just look at the reverse side.  Cut a slimline-sized rectangle of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.

Thanks for visiting…have fun creating projects with the Magnolia Rub-On Transfers this weekend!
