Greetings friends. I wanted to make a floral birthday card today and decided to use flowers from a couple of new Memory Box die sets.
To make the card, I first cut out a frame from the Vintage Tray Embossing Folder/die set. The frame is slightly smaller than an A2 card, so it does fit as a card front. However, there isn’t a lot of extra room, so I decided to cut out the frame out of the same cardstock as my card. I did that because even if I didn’t place it evenly onto my notecard, you wouldn’t notice. I did in fact place the frame a little too high on the card, but it isn’t that noticeable.
Next, I cut out a bunch of flowers using whited cardstock and colored them with Copic markers. I cut extra flowers so that I have a stash on hand to use on future cards. Is there anything better than getting ready to make a card and seeing that your pieces are already die cut and ready to use?
The embossing folder in the frame set gives a woodgrain texture, but I decided to cut it out in a bright blue color that would resemble the sky:

When I assembled all the pieces of the card, I added my birthday sentiment and a few yellow rhinestones for extra bling.
Thanks for stopping by today!
