Here’s a cheery birthday card to send to a friend–a basket full of bright flowers. Happy Spring!
I used a variety of Memory Box card stock papers from SUNRISE SP1013, GREENERY SP1011, and BLUSH SP1012 collections as well as scraps of brown and white card stock. I cut the ROUND EYELET CIRCLE FRAME 94905 from one of the papers in ANEMONE PLAID PP1025. I chose the basket from WOVEN FLOWER BASKET 94941 and the flowers from FLOWER BASKET BOUQUET 94888.

I chose a top fold white A2 note card as the base and added the second largest Round Eyelet Circle Frame cut from one of the Anemone Plaid papers. I die cut the Woven Flower Basket from a scrap of brown card stock. I added Acorn and Pine Cone VersaFine Clair inks to the basket for a bit more definition. I used I used yellow, green and red card stock papers from the Memory Box Collections as well as scraps of brown and white card stock to cut out the flowers. I assembled them using Glue Dots.
After I attached the handle to the basket, I added the tulips and green leaves to the inside of the basket. I used two dimensional foam dots in the center of the back of the basket and double-sided tape along the outer edges to attach the basket to the eyelet frame. This helped to give the basket a bit more dimension. I added the flowers, some flat and some with dimensional foam dots.
I used a piece of Perle Cotton red thread through the handle basket to tie on a HAPPY BIRTHDAY FOIL GREETINGS WHITE TAG ST038. And because I have so many rolls of Washi tape to use up, I added a strip of red dots at the bottom of the card for another pop of color.

Another 4-8 inches of snow covered up whatever spring flowers had begun appearing from the cold soil. Hopefully this snow won’t last long! In the meantime, friends are forcing Forsythia to bloom indoors and I have bouquets of tulips and a pot of daffodils in my dining area. So even though the trees are iced in white, it’s spring inside!
