Showers, Flowers and Celebrations
by Jean Okimoto

Taking a quick break from April showers to celebrate with May flowers. Fill an umbrella with blossoms from the Woven Flower Basket die set. Layer them over a Cherish Heart. A small DIY calendar page from sharincrafterstudio marks Mother’s Day.

This can also be someone’s personalized birthday card – just attach the little glittered flower by her birthdate.

The front of the umbrella is laminated before diecutting – use packing tape for a glossy “waterproofed” shine over a light green 6×6 from the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock pack. The umbrella handle is cut twice from a silver 6×6 in the Rainbow Reflections pack – so it can be lengthened by about 1/2″. Details, details!

Cut the flowers from the light peach 6×6 in the Blush Solid Core Cardstock Pack, medium pink cardstock and bright pink cardstock. Cut the leaves and centers from a dark green Greenery 6×6. Cut 3 more of the little flowers from pink glittered cardstock.

Cut the largest Cherish Heart from light pink cardstock.

Attach a DIY calendar to a white A6 card (4.5″ x 6.25″). Attach the diecuts. Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing

Add a personal touch to birthday cards throughout the year – or celebrate a graduation, wedding or anniversary with a calendar card. It’ll make someone’s special day even more special!
