Today's card shows that you can send flowers AND a card together using the new Plush flower dies. I'm showing off the Plush Camelia, one of several new flower dies offered in the Spring release, on this cheery birthday card. Using combinations of colored felt, it's easy to create a beautiful bouquet that's light enough to go on a card.
I die cut the center of the flowers from paper (didn't have any yellow or black felt) and used 2 layers. Starting with the rolled paper stamens I applied a small dot of hot glue to the narrow end of a cut petal and pressed each one in place, beginning with the smallest to largest sizes. Cut multiples of the petals to create fuller flowers. For the leaves I die cut a few medium size petals from green felt, applied glue to the wide end of the petal, tucked in place and adhered the entire flower to the card–again, with hot glue.
I used 2 stitched oval dies to create the frame around the Zimmer Oval Background–which looks like a beautiful garden lattice.
A layer of mint green cardstock was adhered behind the lattice layer then the Happy Birthday sentiment (taken from the Stitched Happy Birthday Rectangle) was angled onto the lattice layer. The smaller flower was made using only the smallest petals in the die set. A squiggly black line was added to outline the card and finish it up.

very pretty card and love the combination of paper and felt. I have just found paper flower making but at present am cutting the petals by hand from printed patterns can these dies be used for paper too?Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful, inspiring card! The flowers are beautiful, I really like the rolled paper centers, great solution. The lattice oval is perfect and it does give a garden feel to the card. Excellent creative use of the Happy Birthday Rectangle, I like the angled look for the sentiment, it makes it more noticeable. I love to make my own 3d flowers and these dies are perfect.
