Greetings Crafty Friends,
I am happy to bring you another card created from the brand new Memory Box Holiday Collection. I must say these Moose “spoke” to me right away and I envisioned them sitting around the glow of the campfire on a starry night. Of course they had to be toasting marshmallows on a stick for their favorite (actually mine too) s’mores treat. Now that’s my kind of fun!
Wow! the Moose Buddies stamp set even comes with Moose accessories including a neck scarf, Santa hat, a sledding disk and a cocoa cup. For now, the card was created without all these but as we get closer to the holidays, the accessories can be added for wintery fun. I can’t wait!
The moose buddies were colored with prisma pencils and blended smooth with mineral spirits (Gamsol) to even out the pencil lines a bit. The glow of the fire and the night sky was created by using Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey inks in the center followed by Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire inks blended out towards the edges. After the inks dried I stenciled the Winter Scattered Flakes using white pigment ink over the night sky area only.
All that was left was to add the dirt mound (forest clearing), some green pines on either side of the camp site and of course the moose and campfire popped up for dimension. I’d love to pull up a log and join these two, wouldn’t you?
