Greetings friends. Today I wanted to share a card I made using some of the new wide washi tape from Memory Box. I decided on a purple ombre card, but you could use any color that you like. I chose purple because it is my mom's favorite and I wanted to make her a purple Christmas card. You don't have to restrict yourself to red and green!
Step 1 was to glue 1/2" strips of purple cardstock onto a cardstock base going from dark to light purple. I added a 1/2" strip of white cardstock in the center as a spacer for my purple strips:

There was a little extra of my base cardstock showing at the top. I used a larger base than I knew would be on my finished card because I knew once I was done with the strips and tape, I would want to trim everything with my paper cutter so that the strips would match.
The next step was to add a piece of the Twas the Night washi tape over my purple gradient cardstock:

After I added the tape, I trimmed everything and layered it onto my card. As a final step, I added the Snowflake Marquee die above and below my sentiment that I stamped in purple Versafine ink.
Here is a close up:

I hope if you are traveling for Thanksgiving that you have a very safe trip!
