The Happy Dance Bird set includes a warm layered scarf – save it for your winter cards – we’re still enjoying summer today! Attach adhesive label paper (or a sticker sheet) to wool-blend felt and cut the large main section. The paper layer stabilizes the felt and prevents adhesives from saturating it. Cut the feet and head background from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise cardstock set. Color the eye areas with a black marker.
Cut sparkly large wings from the blue-ish Delicate Pastels Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut shimmery smaller wings from a pale blue Rainbow Reflections 6×6.
Cut the lavender vine and floral print from the Anemone Grove 6×6 set with the 2-1/8” wide Heritage Rectangle Frame die. Cut a pale blue 6×6 from the Lagoon set with the largest Heritage Rectangle Frame die . Attach it to a top-folded white A2 card. 1
The Memory Box 6×6 solid-core cardstock sets – Lagoon, Sunrise, Greenery, Blush and Stormy – create great custom-colored cards when layered over plain white card bases. Cut them with Rectangle or Frame dies. Straight-sided sets create A2-sized card fronts. Scalloped sets create 4″x 5.2-5.25″ card fronts. Pick your favorite exterior shades – and add colorful stamped or diecut greetings to the crisp white interior.
A cardmaking tip…hold the colored cardstock and folded card vertically when adhering the layers instead of laying them down and pressing them together. Gravity, a hard flat surface – and a good grip – keep the layers aligned and straight as you adhere them.
Attach the diecuts to the card – use foam tape behind Happy Dance Bird’s head. Add a Congratulations Foil Greetings Black Tab – use foam tape on the left side. Bling the card with the pale gold Autumn Fairy Crystals. Cut an A2-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
