Send joyful winter wishes with the new Sledding Penguin! Pinpoint Contour Plate from Birch Press Design creates a slope-y textured background for winter sports – like a popular sledding hill. The pinpoint dots even match and merge with the Fan Stitch Scalloped Square Frame.

Cut the Birch Press Design Pinpoint Contour Plate from heavy white cardstock. Cut the background with the largest Fan Stitch Scalloped Square Frame die. Attach it to a white A6 card (6.25″ x 4.5″) – place doublestick tape about 1/2″ from the edges for more dimension and a little “lift” at the edges.
Cut Sledding Penguin from watercolor paper and Glossy Black Paper (cardstock). Cut the face under-layer and feet from an orange 6×6 in the Sunrise Solid Core Cardstock Pack. Color the eye areas with a black marker.
Cut the scarf from the Yuletide Cheer red print. Cut the hat from Cherry Red cardstock and the white Festive Glitter Pad. The pompom is designed to be attached behind the tip of the hat – I trimmed it and attached it in the front to stand out against the white background.
Cover Cherry Red and Cranberry Paper (cardstock) with packing tape or laminate and cut the sled. It’ll be bright and glossy – and snow-proof!

Attach the diecuts to the background – use foam tape for the penguin’s head and hat.
Cover white cardstock with ScorTape and cut the Sending Joy Timeless Script background. Cut the detailed top layer from Cherry Red paper – leave it in the die and remove the little pieces in the e, d g and O. Press the greeting – still in the die – firmly onto the adhesive-covered background. Cover the remaining exposed adhesive with detail clear powder, tap off the excess and heat-emboss it. The greeting will be perfectly aligned and firmly attached. Add it to the card with foam dots.
Cut an A6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
Thanks for visiting our blog…have a great weekend!
