I have another poppies card for you that uses the CL5281D PLAYFUL POPPIES CLEAR STAMP AND DIE SET and papers from PP1033 NUTMEG PLAID and SP1013 SUNRISE.
To make this card, I stamped the large Playful Poppies image on smooth watercolor paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne (black) ink. I chose my Kuretake watercolor paints and a fine tipped brush to color the image. I added a pale blue wash around the edges of the bouquet. Once everything was dry, I used the coordinating die to cut out the image.
I covered the front of a blank white note card with one of the dark orange-red plaid papers from the Nutmeg Plaid paper pad. I added a piece of squash paper from the Sunrise Collection cut 3 1/2 X4 3/4. On top of that I placed another of the Nutmeg Plaid papers cut 3 X 4 1/4. I angled the poppies when gluing them to the card front, stems off to the right and the largest bloom off to the left. I really like the way the image pops out over the paper layers.
For the sentiment I chose “you are loved” from the same Playful Poppies Clear Stamp and Die Set, stamped in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink on a scrap of the squash paper. I layered that on a scrap of the dark orange-red plaid paper. I secured it in the lower right corner using dimensional foam.
I love how the papers work with the painted poppies!
