Rainy Day Mouse is ready for spring showers and St. Patrick’s Day with stenciled Polkadots and a layered shamrock. Nested Globes create a “mouse-house door” background for this sweet little guy.
Cut Rainy Day Mouse from 2 shades of gray cardstock. Cut the nose/eye layer from pink cardstock. Color the eye areas with a black marker Cut his parka from a lime green 6×6 in the Greenery Solid Core Cardstock pack. Assemble the mouse. Here’s a tip – attach the hands behind the parka sleeves instead of onto the mouse.
Cut 3 of the solid Wavy Balloons hearts from a bright green Greenery 6×6. Cut the longest wave strip of the wavy heart from the same green 6×6. They’ll create a big shamrock!
Cut the 2.5″ wide Nested Globe from heavy white cardstock. Cut a dark olive Greenery 6×6 with the same die. Layer them for dimension.
Stencil 3 of the Polkadot 6×6 Art Stencil Set layers on white cardstock. Heat-set the dots stenciled with the VersaFine inks. Heat-emboss the Electric Green stenciled dots with Imagine’s Iridescent MBoss for a bit of glossy sparkle. Inks used here are Verdant VersaFine Clair, Green Oasis VersaFine Clair and Electric Green Radiant Neon.
Cut the stenciled cardstock with the 4″ wide Nested Globes die. Attach the diecuts to a white A6 card (4.50″ x 6.25″) – use foam tape for Rainy Day Mouse and the top of the center heart.
Attach 1/4″ dots punched from the green Festive Glitter Pad 6×6. Cut an A-6-sized piece of cardstock to protect the card front for mailing.
