Greetings friends. I like to have a “sorry you are under the weather” card ready to go for when they are needed. If I wait till I hear that someone is sick before I make my card, there is a good chance they will be well before I send my card!
To make this card, I used the Raindrop Plate to create my background. Usually when I die cut a detailed die such as this one, I use a metal plate in my die cut machine to help cut out all of the little pieces. However, for this card, I left out that plate so that it would cut out all the little raindrops, but they would need to be popped out from the light blue paper one by one. I decide to only pop out the raindrops in the center of the card so that the dark blue of the card would show through. The rest of the raindrops were left in place so that they just left the impression of raindrops. Here is a close up so that you can see the areas that are popped out and the raindrops that were left in place:

For my mouse, I cut out all of the pieces using white cardstock and then colored the pieces with the following Copic markers:
Top of ears and sides of mouse- E35
Center of mouse body- E31
Center of mouse face- E0000
Cheeks and nose- R20
For the flower, I cut out all of the pieces using white cardstock then colored the pieces with the following Copic Markers:
Petals- Y35 and Y38
Stem- G07
Center of flower- E35
For the raincoat, I cut out the raincoat from yellow cardstock rather than coloring white cardstock with a yelow marker
Finally, I assembled all of the pieces and added a white dot to the tops of the black eyes using a white acrylic marker from Grabie:

Of course, you don’t have to make this card an “under the weather” card. It works as a spring card as well as a “brighter days ahead” card. How would you use the design?
